Organic Gardening Course by Tim Foster
Each year, between January and June, we run our annual Organic and Allotment Gardening Course for those who want to learn how to grow their own fruit and vegetables.
This course — the best of its kind in Bristol — has been running for over 20 years and is designed with a great mixture of theory and practice.
Horticulture teacher and author Tim Foster shares his knowledge and skills, from pruning to sowing, pests to composting, rotations to companion planting and much more.

For the 2026 course, each session will be held on Wednesday mornings and will include two hours of theory in the farm’s Community Building, followed by an hour long practical session on nearby allotments.
The fee for the 2026 course is £320 (full income) / £250 (low waged).
If you’d like to apply for the 2026 course, please complete an application form and return this to office@swcityfarm.co.uk .
